Self catering Accommodation in Herolds bay – Garden Route
A newly-built family holiday house overlooking the scenic Herolds Bay. It’s all about family, the view, the sea, the Garden Route, relaxation and golf.
This holiday house is ideal for anybody looking for Garden Route accommodation and would like the freedom of self catering.
This accommodation in Herolds bay was designed with holiday, relaxing and getting away from it all in mind. It is where we would like to create family memories. And there's something in it for boys and girls of any age.
Herolds Bay is conveniently situated 10 minutes away from George Airport, with taxi and shuttle services to deliver you to your doorstep. We recommend you rent a car (all majot car rental services available at the airport) - there's no better way to explore the magical Garden Route than by driving.
This holiday rental is also a great alternative to self catering accommodation in George.
For avid golfers (scratch players and wannabes alike), Oubaai Golf Club (an Ernie Els signature course) is a mere tee shot away from Herolds Bay, with nine other superb golf courses within an hour’s drive.
Herolds Bay is perfect as "base camp" to explore the Garden Route and all it has to offer - from the indigenous fynbos and proteas to whale watching. Oudtshoorn (70km inland) is the ostrich farming capital of the world (you can even race them!) and is home to the world-famous Cango Caves. Knysna is 73 scenic kilometers away and boasts the Knysna Oyster Company, where you can enjoy oysters in all of its forms (and some you haven't thought of) overlooking the harbour and the fabulous and treacherous Knysna Heads.
You might think that with all of that to look forward to, there can't be time to shop. Don't be fooled! The Garden Route is lined with quaint shops and stores that offer a variety of local crafts and products - there's no better way to catch a glimpse into our colourful heritage than by seeing what the locals can do with wire, bottle tops, wool, recycled cans and bottles, glass and shells. This area is well known for its woodwork - from furniture to chess pieces, the wood is indigenous and the worksmanship exquisite.
For those who prefer living on a knife's edge, the Garden Route provides zip-lining through the Tsitsikamma forest, Elephant back riding, bungee jumping, kite-surfing, hiking trails, exploring mazes, surfing, shark-cage diving, not to mention the best seafood you'll ever taste.
South Africa’s Garden Route should be on everyone's bucket list, and this self catering accommodation in Herolds bay is the best place to experience it!
